[grateful thanks to Victoria Herrero for this work]
This is a list of the Monuments/Sites/Museums around the world that grant free or reduced access* to holders of the international ICOMOS Membership Card (your card must be from the current year). It aims at providing a service to ICOMOS members who travel with their membership cards. You can click on each item to access the website and/or obtain more information, when available.
*The list is indicative and not exhaustive and is based on information supplied by our network. Free or reduced access is a concession which these establishments kindly make to ICOMOS members – the final decision whether to grant such access always rests with the Monuments/Sites/Museums themselves – and may not apply to all events they organise (e.g. temporary exhibitions). If a Monument/Site/Museum should be added or removed from the list please contact your National Committee who will relay the information to the International Secretariat after verification.
Please note that the ICOMOS card cannot be bought and is reserved to ICOMOS members.

Last 18 April, on International Day on Monuments and Sites, we celebrated Heritage for generations.
The Emerging Professionals Working Group coordinated the event in a spirit of intergenerational exchanges to safeguard and promote heritage. Activities were aimed at fostering fruitful intergenerational dialogue. These included, but were not limited to: conferences, training sessions, roundtables, poster campaigns, evenings with question and answer games between younger and older members professionals and non-professionals, interactive tours of heritage and other kind of sites.
6 months after D-day, we can say that the results are positive: there were 117 events in 50 countries.
ICIP (the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Interpretation and Presentation) very much looks forward to welcoming participants to the 2018 conference: ‘Critical issues in Heritage Interpretation and Sustainable Tourism’, taking place in Florence, 23-25 October 2018.
However, please note as a matter of importance that, as of today, this conference is now managed solely by the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), which is the parent organisation of ICIP.
